Thanks!
About 150 people worked for four hours on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday clearing brush, cutting invasive vines, and cutting-up downed branches at the site of Takoma Park's first planned dog park. The effort, planned by Howard Kohn, Annie Mozer, and Jay Keller as part of the "Day of Service," Takoma Park came out in force to support the proposed dog park.
TakomaDogs is extremely grateful for this incredible show of community support. We made enormous progress. Today's brush clearing is the start of an incredible effort in Takoma Park that will culminate in creation of Takoma Park's first dog park. Hopefully the first of several.
You can view photos of today's brush cleaning extravaganza here. If you have photos you would like to share, please email them to this email address, and they will be posted directly to the TakomaDogs photo gallery.
Anyone wanting to encourage the City Council to adequately fund completion of the dog park should visit our recent post on the issue.
