We had a fantastic TakomaDogs dog park picnic today, with about 35 - 40 people stopping by during the 3 hours of the picnic. Due to the rain, we moved into the picnic shelters below the dog park, and gave periodic tours of the proposed park.
A special thanks to local dignitaries Mayor Bruce Williams, Ward 3 Council Member Kate Stewart, Ward 4 Council Member Terry Seamens, and Ward 5 Council Member Jarrett Smith for stopping by, breaking bread, and sharing some BBQ. We also had a visit from County Council Candidate Evan Glass, who brought his pooch Percy.
