The Dude Will Have His Park, But When?

There's a great article in the Takoma Park Voice discussing the dog park, TakomaDogs, and the Chief Designer Eric Saul. Reporter Naomi Eidi's article discusses the budget, the timing, and the people.

While the article is good, it does quote Acting City Manager Suzie Ludlow as saying "most of the construction will happen after July 1, the start of the new fiscal year...." That means the dog park will not be open by the end of June, as promised by the former City Manager, and unlikely to be open at all this summer.

Another deadline and promise missed.

We've been working on this for over two years and, while we're closer, it keeps getting delayed due to higher-priority projects.

To tell the City Manager that you want the dog park open for use this summer, visit our Take Action page.

And don't forget to check out the Voice article.

People wanted this done yesterday, so there’s just a lot of interest in getting it done sooner rather than later.
