Parade Float Progressing Nicely!

Barbara's been making good progress on the TakomaDogs float for this year's 4th of July Parade.

Jill, one of the builders and operators of last year's dog kinetic sculpture, donated the dog head we're using to build Takoma Park's only dog park. Yes, our dog park that we started exactly two weeks ago, will be finished before the City finishes its dog park promised two years ago!

If you want to help build or design the float, contact Barbara at 360-561-6320 or barbara@mulhbacher.us.

Please don't forget to come walk with us in the 4th of July Parade. We need help carrying the TakomaDogs banner, pushing the float, and waving at the parade watchers. It doesn't matter if you don't have a dog, come anyway. Bring your kids, your strollers, your dogs, or yourself. Just come out and walk with us! Your participation is important to continue showing the Takoma Park community how important this dog park is to everyone.

We'll be meeting at the south entrance to Manor Circle near 203 South Manor Circle (map here) at about 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 4. We expect to get an early place in the parade so that the dogs avoid the hottest part of the day. Bring your kids, your dogs, and some water for the dogs. Or just bring yourself. All are welcome!

Don't forget to wear your Support-the-Dog-Park t-shirt. If you don't have one, you can order one here. This year's parade walk is being organized by TakomaDogs board member Stacy Gilbert, so if you have any questions, please contact her.
