This year we're building another awesome float and walking in the Takoma Park 4th of July Parade. Come join us.
We're meeting at the Community Center, 7500 Maple Avenue, Takoma Park, in the rear parking lot at 2:00 for a parade of people and dogs. The parade will progress up to the dog park for the official ribbon cutting.
This is a tentative date, depending upon how construction progresses. But please mark you calendar!
We're walking in the 2016 Takoma Park 4th of July Parade. We'll be meeting at the south entrance to Manor Circle near 203 South Manor Circle (map here) at about 9:30 a.m. In prior years we've got an early place in the parade so that the dogs avoid the hottest part of the day. Bring your kids, your dogs, and some water for the dogs. No dogs but love dogs? You can still come out and walk with us.
The new Takoma Park City Council gets sworn in on Monday, November 16. Be there at 7:30 p.m. to show your support for the dog park. We need lots of concerned citizens to ask why the dog park is not built yet.
